Endoscopy two-day masterclass - 15 & 16 Aug

Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 August 2017
Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (day one) and Uni of Qld (day two)

Learn about endoscopy from the experts who do this every day! Day one will include six hours of lectures on upper and lower GI endoscopy, rhinoscopy, tracheobronchoscopy, urethrocystoscopy laparoscopy and video otoscopy.
On day two, participants will have the opportunity to perform hands-on endoscopy at the University of Queensland using canine cadavers and live pigs. Everyone will have a chance to perform upper GI endoscopy, bronchoscopy, rhinoscopy, and urethrocystoscopy in females, with ample time and expert guidance at a ratio of only five delegates per instructor. A station demonstrating live laparoscopy in a pig will also be available for hands-on exploration.

Dental masterclass - 15 Aug

National Vet Centre (NVC), Ormeau

This masterclass will be limited to the first 18 who register, so get in quickly! Three international FASAVA/WDVA Congress speakers will be running a masterclass session each covering lymph node harvesting, crown lengthening and crown preparations. This will be a full practical day offsite at the National Vet Centre in Ormeau, 40km from the convention centre. Buses depart the GCCEC at 8:00am sharp. Return departure at 5:30pm.
Please note that Dental stream lectures from the FASAVA Congress will be the basis for each of the masterclass sessions and will be considered assumed knowledge.

Depart the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre at 8am and travel 30 minutes down the Gold Coast Highway to the Currumbin Wildlife Park. Take part in an exclusive VIP hospital tour around the Currumbin Wildlife hospital which has become one of the busiest of it’s kind in the entire world treating over 8000 wild animals every year.
